What Patrick Does at MIDEO

Patrick is responsible for ensuring MIDEO projects and platform initiatives are executed with consistency, accuracy, and compliance, all while keeping the experience simple for patients and practical for clinical use. His role spans:

  • Product strategy and implementation planning
  • Operational execution and fulfillment
  • Vendor and partner coordination
  • Practice operations and payer-related logistics
  • Security, documentation, and process development to support enterprise readiness
  • Cross-functional alignment with development, compliance, finance, legal, and marketing stakeholders

Building a Platform People Can Actually Use

Patrick’s product approach was shaped early by years supporting educators and systems through real-world technology challenges. That perspective carried directly into MIDEO’s patient-facing experience, especially the goal of keeping usability high for people who may be stressed, unfamiliar with telehealth, or navigating complex family situations.

As MIDEO grew, Patrick helped steward major transitions and platform milestones, including the move to an electronic medical record, scaling patient onboarding, and aligning operational standards through acquisition and organizational change.

Contributions That Shaped the MIDEO Experience

Patrick has headed a wide range of product and operational enhancements aimed at improving accessibility, security, and real-world retrievability. Examples include advancing the MIDEO card ecosystem, expanding access methods, and supporting infrastructure improvements tied to security and compliance readiness.

His work has also supported initiatives to broaden awareness of video-based advance directives across clinical and professional audiences, helping MIDEO show up credibly in spaces ranging from emergency medicine to estate planning.

Background & Education

Patrick earned his degree in English with a minor in Legal Studies from Duquesne University. While studying, he built his technical foundation working in IT environments and later gained exposure to healthcare research and HIPAA-adjacent work through consulting projects. This unique skill set has become central to how he helps MIDEO translate a complex concept into a platform people can use quickly during a medical emergency.

Outside of Work

Patrick enjoys the outdoors year-round. He loves boating and kayaking in the summer, skiing in the winter, and is an avid hiker and roller-blader. He also loves traveling and exploring new places, and he’s a proud pet parent to two golden retrievers and two cats. He’s a lifelong Pennsylvanian and comes from a family of educators.
